This Balmacaan coat has been reconstructed from authentic 1956 Belgian Army Brushstroke camouflage tent fabric, making full use of this exceptionally rare vintage military textile.

The richly aged tent canvas carries the unmistakable character and presence that only genuine military materials can offer.

Inside the coat, a section of the original military stencil—including the production year—has been carefully preserved and incorporated into the design. Even this subtle detail allows you to experience the atmosphere and history of the original fabric.

The buttons are sourced from a vintage American military coat dating from the 1950s to the 1970s, bringing together military heritage from two different countries within a single garment. This unique combination is one of the defining stories behind the remake.

The coat features a one-piece raglan sleeve construction, creating a clean shoulder line and a relaxed A-line silhouette that balances the rugged texture of the fabric with an elegant appearance.

Combining the powerful character of vintage military textiles with ohal’s understated aesthetic, this is a truly one-of-a-kind Balmacaan coat.
